Attend The Southern Illinois Star Party at the SIU Farms Association of Southern Illinois for an evening of guided telescopic observations of the night sky. Sunday, Dec 8 6:00pm - 7:30pm. A free public astronomy observation at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale, School of Physics and Applied Physics Astronomy Observation Deck, located on the roof of the Neckers building. See Jupiter at opposition and appearing big and bright in the night sky. Saturn, the Moon and Venus will also be visible as well as some of the brighter deep sky objects.
Olney Central College Community Choir will present its annual Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12th in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center.
