Locally,
Olney Central College Theater will host auditions for Disney’s Tarzan the Musical on January 13 and 14 at the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center. A title that is recognizable the world over, Tarzan is a powerhouse of a musical. Based on Disney's epic animated musical adventure and Edgar Rice Burrough's Tarzan of the Apes, Tarzan features heart-pumping music by rock legend, Phil Collins, and a book by Tony Award-winning playwright, David Henry Hwang. High-flying excitement and hits, like the Academy Award winning "You'll Be in My Heart," as well as "Son of Man" and "Two Worlds," make Tarzan an unforgettable theatrical experience. Audition information and materials are available at www.iecc.edu/occ/theater. Auditions are open to age high school and above. No previous theater experience is required. Local and surrounding community members are welcome to audition. OCC Theater’s production of Tarzan will include special guest director, Josh Strickland. Mr. Strickland performed as the original Tarzan on Broadway. Performances for Tarzan are March 21, 22, 27, 28, & 29 at 7:00 p.m. and March 23, 29, & 30 at 2:00 p.m.
