SIU's International Festival will run from April 4th through April 8th.

Sponsored by the International Student Council, the festival has been running for 60 years.

International Student Council President Adedeji Disu said the food festival is a popular event, allowing people to share culture through food. Students from different countries will cook and serve dishes that represent where they are from.

"That's also a very good way to showcase local dishes from different countries and all that," he said.

The festival begins with a parade of flags on April 4th, staring at 10 am at Woody Hall. On April 6th, the International Food Festival will be held at the student center from 11 to 1 and on Friday, April 8th, there will be a cultural show in the student ballrooms at 6:30 pm.
