With the SIU homecoming parade set to start at 10:00 a.m tomorrow (Saturday), the City of Carbondale Police Department has announced street closures and detours to start at 9:30 a.m.
All vehicular traffic on Illinois Route 51 south of West Walnut Street to Pleasant Hill Road will be re-routed, and Pleasant Hill Road north to Walnut Street and all lanes of South University Avenue from Walnut Street south to Mill Street, along with its underpass, will be closed.
