Later this month, Southern Illinois University Carbondale will host the 2023 Association of University Presses Book, Jacket, and Journal Show. The juried show will feature handpicked examples of book cover designs, interior designs, and typesettings published in 2022.
The Book, Jacket, and Journal Show aims to celebrate the diversity of the university press through a wide array of subjects, forms, and methods.
SIU Press Director Amy Etchson says, "This show is a great opportunity for art and design students and faculty, or anyone interested in typographic art and book cover design, to gain inspiration and ideas from this stunning showcase."
From April 19 through 26, the exhibit is located in the Hall of Presidents and Chancellors at Morris Library. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with varied weekend hours. For more information about the SIU Press, visit their website.
