SIU women's basketball head coach Kelly Bond-White has announced the hiring of Greg Brown as an assistant coach.

Brown brings in 16 years of Division I coaching experience to Carbondale, with recent stops including the University of Central Florida and Texas A&M. He and Bond-White worked together in College Station.

From 2012 to 2019, Brown was the head women's basketball coach at his alma mater, Lipscomb, in Nashville, Tennessee. Before this stretch, he spent two seasons as an assistant under Hall of Fame coach Pat Summitt.

Coach Bond-White also announced the signing of Kayla Cooper, a transfer guard from the University of Oklahoma.
