SIU Carbondale's Paul Simon Public Policy Institute will host a virtual discussion on parents' roles in teaching children civic education.

Political science professor and author Lindsey Cormack will discuss her research with Institute director John Shaw.

Cormack's book, "How to Raise a Citizen (And Why It's Up to You to Do It)," analyzes political communication strategies and the responsibilities of promoting citizenship.

The discussion will be held tomorrow over Zoom at 1 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
