Local businesses can apply for a workshop through the Carbondale Small Business Accelerator Program, which offers special funding and assistance.

The 10-week training program offers tools, practical insights, and mentorship to help small startup enterprises grow.

This initiative exists through the city and the Illinois Small Business Development Center at SIU Carbondale.

Participants who complete the training program will receive a cash reward for funding their startup. They will also have the opportunity to "pitch" their business to a panel of judges for an additional $5,000 in funding.

The program is open to those living in or who have operated a business in Carbondale for no more than 4 years.

Class sessions are two hours weekly and can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid. You can request a spot by applying online through February 13.
