The Carbondale Police Department is teaming up again this year with Saluki Athletics for the Annual “Coats for Kids” Drive.

The collaborative effort is designed to collect new winter coats for children in southern Illinois.

The donated coats will be distributed by the Carbondale Police Department Community Christmas Store in December.

Fans are encouraged to donate new coats for children ages 1-8 in an effort to help younger kids in need during the cold winter months.

They will be accepted for donation at the Carbondale Police Department or at Saluki basketball games on December 1, 7, 10 and 13.

Any fan donating a new children’s coat at the December 13th men’s game vs. Lincoln will receive a free ticket for that night’s game at the ticket window.
