The American Red Cross has launched a response to the areas in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee impacted by Hurricane Helene. Disaster responders from Missouri and Arkansas are currently focused on providing those affected by the hurricane with safe shelter, meals, emotional support, and relief supplies.
Communities might be affected by limited power and internet connection during disasters. Try to contact your loved one by calling during off-peak hours, sending a text message, which is more likely to go through than a phone call, checking the loved one's socials, sending an email, and contacting friends of that person as well as a place that they are known to frequent.
