A legislative town hall meeting set for Tuesday will focus on the recent Lame Duck Session, and some controversial legislation.
State Senators Dale Fowler and Terri Bryant will be joined by State Representatives Dave Severin, Patrick Windhorst, Paul Jacobs and David Friess in Marion for the Town Hall.
Representative Windhorst says they plan on going over the recently passed gun control legislation and the changes that come with it.
“The new House bill, which became law, has a limit for rifles at ten rounds and four handguns at 15 rounds.”
Windhorst says high-capacity gun magazines have been grandfathered in and owners will not have to dispose of them.
“As far as what people owned at the time became law, that would still be legal to possess.”
They’ll also discuss changes to district maps, the upcoming legislative session and have a question and answer session at the end.
The town hall is scheduled for 6:00pm at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center.
