Sen. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro)

Southern Illinois State Senator Terri Bryant has been appointed to the Legislative Ethics Commission, the General Assembly's watchdog in charge of holding lawmakers accountable for potential misconduct in office.

The Commission is comprised of eight members: four State Senators and four State Representatives, including an equal number of Democrats and Republicans.

Bryant -- a Murphysboro republican -- has been named as a member of the GOP Leadership Team in her second term in the chamber.
