A Carbondale woman has been named to a statewide housing panel.
Camille Dorris currently serves as Executive Director of the Southern Illinois Coalition for the Homeless. Governor JB Pritzker has nominated her to the Illinois Affordable Housing Commission.
Pritzker's office points to the expertise Dorris brings with organization and leadership, as well as grant administration, education, and more.
The Affordable Housing Commission advises state agencies - including the Illinois Housing Development Authority - on economic development opportunities, and evaluates the allocation of funding. The Illinois Senate has to confirm Dorris' appointment, and her term runs through 2025.
