State Senator Dale Fowler encourages Illinois residents to submit a photo and story of their loved ones who served in the military. The story will be displayed in the rotunda of the Illinois Capitol from November 11 to 25 in honor of Veteran's Day.

"This is a tribute in honor of the names, faces, and stories of those who protected our freedoms. This is a great opportunity in the Illinois State capitol to showcase and pay tribute to those who served."

Families are asked to submit a photo and written story about their loved one who served. Military photos are preferred. They should also include their name, military branch, and conflict served.

Email or mail submissions to the state capitol by November 8.
