Tomorrow morning, Illinois workers and labor allies will gather at the State Capitol Lincoln Steps in Springfield to call for statewide legislation eliminating sub-minimum wages.

Participants will deliver a letter to Governor J.B. Pritzker demanding wage reforms and extended protections for tipped and low-wage workers.

The One Fair Wage Open Letter calls for protections in Democratic states to help address the cost-of-living crisis and the anticipated reduction of labor rights.

To demonstrate urgency and solidarity, the workers and advocates will host a holiday turkey giveaway to support struggling families.
