As the situation in Gaza escalates, tensions are rising across the region, threatening to ignite a full-scale war involving Israel, Lebanon, Iran, and U.S. military forces deployed throughout the Middle East.

The first event is the Monthly Peace and Justice Vigil, which will take place at the corner of Main and Illinois Avenue in Carbondale.

The ongoing climate emergency, driven by fossil fuel consumption, extracts vital resources from the land and its people, contributing to widespread environmental degradation and displacement.

"Courage for Peace, Not for War"

A vigil will take place this Saturday at noon at the corner of Main and Illinois Avenue in Carbondale.

The Peace Vigil will be a call to end Ukraine's conflict with Russia, and to not escalate further disaster.

Participants will gather to honor Carbondale as one of the first "Nonviolent Cities" inspired by Campaign Nonviolence.

The Rally is Thursday, June 30 at Eurma Hayes Center.
