March is National Kidney Month and The “KidneyMobile” will be in the offering free Health Screenings in Mt. Vernon next week. The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois and SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital will provide the free screenings on Friday, March 24th from Noon to 4, for all community members aged 18 and up. The KidneyMobile travels across the state screening individuals for kidney disease and its two main causes, which are diabetes and high blood pressure. Appointments are strongly recommended to attend the no-cost screenings and you can find the link to preregister on our website. Good Samaritan Hospital will also be hosting an all-ages wellness fair in conjunction with the health screening from Noon to 6 on the same day. Both events will be held at Veterans Memorial Park – Rolland W. Lewis Community Building in Mt. Vernon.
