Saluki Dogs to be Featured on Animal Planet

Carbondale, IL – The Salukis will be making an appearance on national television this Saturday - and we're not talking about the football or basketball team.

The Saluki dogs were selected to appear on the Animal Planet program Dogs 101.
A film crew for the network visited Carbondale in May to attend a Saluki baseball game against Evansville and interviewed Director of Athletics Mario Moccia along with various dog owners and fans.

The hour long show takes in depth looks at various exotic breeds such as the Saluki, and other dogs including the Australian Cattle dog, Bull Terrier and the Boykin Spaniel.

The show will air Saturday night at 7 p.m. and will be replayed the following morning at 2 a.m.
