Du Quoin, IL – A 78-year-old man has died - nearly a week after an SUV hit his wheelchair and dragged him as he was crossing a street in his hometown of Du Quoin.
Robert Osborne died Wednesday night. Family members say nearly every bone in Osborne's body was broken during the March 31st accident involving his motorized wheelchair at a busy Du Quoin intersection.
Perry County prosecutors say they're waiting for reports from Du Quoin police investigators before deciding whether the 68-year-old driver of the SUV will be charged.
