Eldorado High School Student Dies After Homecoming Parade

A senior at Eldorado High School is dead after a tragic accident following the school's homecoming parade.

School officials report on the way back from the parade Thursday evening, Heath Toothman lost his balance while jumping off the senior class float and hit his head.

He was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville where he passed away.

The Eldorado School District is establishing a fundraiser to help the Toothman family pay for medical bills and funeral expenses.

Donations can be dropped off at the high school office or they can be made directly to the Eldorado High School Foundation.

The school district is also setting up multiple school and community events in the coming days to offer counseling services to students.
