Senator Dale Fowler announced the return of the Southern Illinois Made Expo will be in-person this summer.
At the Southern Illinois Chambers of Commerce monthly luncheon Tuesday State Senator Dale Fowler announced the Southern Illinois Made Expo will go back to in-person at the Pavilion in Marion October 15 and 16.
The event features products, services and destinations produced and located in Southern Illinois.
Senator Fowler also announced that two military charities will benefit from the proceeds of the expo.
“One of my goals is, you know, if the expo got big enough, I would like to be able to help both organizations with one event. So that's what we've announced today also, so this year, it's going to be split between Operation Honor Guard and Southern Illinois Honor Flight Fly as well.”
The last time it was in person was 2019 because the pandemic forced the cancelation of the expo in 2020 and 2021.
