Police Identify Suspect in Carbondale Shooting

Detectives from the Carbondale Police Department continue to investigate the shooting that occurred on Saturday morning in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane that left two victims with gunshot wounds.

Detectives identified the suspected shooter as 18-year-old Kaemarius K. Parks of Centralia. An arrest warrant for Parks has been issued for charges including, Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapons. Parks is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 130 pounds, with short hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the "Champion" logo on the front, black shorts, and white tennis shoes fleeing westbound on foot from the 700 block of South Lewis Lane.
