The Marion Unit 2 School District is working to help those within the district impacted by Friday's tornado.

Superintendent Becky Moss says the district is asking for monetary donations or donations of essential items, such as clothing, food, temporary shelter and more as these families begin to recover and rebuild.

Moss says they're also collecting gift cards from places such as Kroger, Target, Wal-Mart, Aldi and other retail establishments in the community.

Donations will be accepted at any Marion Unit School building and the administration office.
