Restaurants across the state have had to transition over to curbside or delivery, it still puts workers and their families at high risk to contracting COVID-19.
“You know it's scary.”
Maria Lass is the owner of Emma and Arnie’s Sandwiches in Carbondale.
As the state’s stay-at-home order continues, she continues to worry about her employee's heath and her daughter who has juvenile arthritis.
“It's really scary for me to be in contact with so many people every day and I'm like, worried when I get home. And I'm worried when I get home, because I wonder if I am sharing this and I don’t know it and pass it on to my daughter who is on an immunosuppressant.” Lass said.
Lass said her daughter Emma is healthy for now, but she continues to give her daughter the medication with hope she doesn’t contract the virus.
