A gas-utility worker repairs a wrench.

Wabash Valley College will host a new Gas Utility Construction Bootcamp, a hands-on training program designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in the natural gas utility and pipeline construction industry.

The bootcamp runs Saturdays from January 10 through March 14.

The 10-week course will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Wabash Valley College campus in Mt. Carmel.

Class size is limited to 10 students. The full bootcamp investment is $1,200, which includes industry-recognized certifications and job placement support.

Applicants must attend all sessions, pass a background check and drug screening, maintain a clean driving record, and be willing to travel or relocate for job opportunities.

Military veterans, displaced workers, and adults available on weekends are encouraged to apply. High school seniors may also apply.

People who want to apply for the program can click here.
