Carmalita Cahill, Executive Director of Carbondale Warming Center, will speak at the Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement (SILIR) meeting on April 17 at 10:30 am. Ms. Cahill has been with the Warming Center since it opened in December 2019 at its current location of 608 East College Street. The Carbondale Warming Center, an emergency homeless shelter, actively assists members of the community who find themselves in a housing crisis.
Ms. Cahill holds a degree in Public Relations and Marketing and is completing a master’s degree in Organizational Management and Leadership.
