Both sides are reporting progress in the labor talks between the Murphysboro teachers union and the school administration.
Both sides agree the biggest issue has been whether or not the teachers should pay for part of their health insurance costs. The district currently pays 100% of those costs.
Murphysboro Education Association president Orlan Brown says the administration is indicating its willingness to compromise.
Administration negotiating team spokesman Michael Cripps says they're bargaining in good faith.
Neither Cripps nor Brown wanted to offer details about the new insurance options on the table.
The next negotiating session is this Thursday.
