Students and parents can gather school materials, as well as get free school-approved dental exams Thursday and Friday at the Marion Bi-County Health Department. Brittney Hale with Prevent Child Abuse Illinois says despite the COVID-19 hardships, many community partners worked very hard to make this happen.
"We're very blessed here in the southern region everyone knows we need to work together and partner with one another, and we're all very willing to do that."
Another partner, Amber Anderson with the Egyptian Area Agency on Aging says they hope to build on last year's success. "Last year we were able to serve 830 people. We have been so fortunate this year to be able to receive donations from businesses and hospitals and churches."
The drive through program starts at 9:00AM and all CDC safety guidelines will be in effect.
