Missouri's National Veterans Memorial in Perryville will hold its grand opening this weekend.
Nancy Guth is executive director of the site, which is the exact replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. She says several dignitaries will attend the grand opening ceremony on Saturday morning.
"The governor, the lt. governor and quite a few representatives will be here for the ceremony at 10 o'clock. So, we do want to remind people that the road will be closed down and we will be shuttling people from the nearby parking lots. Keep that in mind and get here early."

Guth says the shuttle Service will run continuously from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
She anticipates five to ten thousand people will visit the site this weekend and they ask visitors to observe quiet time from 9:45 to 11:15 Saturday morning.
"We just want people to take time and reflect and really realize why we are here for the veterans. So, take time, talk with a veteran, hear their stories."
