Even though Halloween has past, the spooky season still lingers throughout Southern Illinois.

The Saline Creek Pioneer and Village Museum hosted a night at the museum to give a tour featuring many historical buildings filled with gruesome tales.

Visitors were first greeted with a story about the Pauper house.

The tour continued with the journey of a river pirate and a haunted jail cell.

Tune in to WSIU Radio News tomorrow for the story of the life and death of one Samuel Mason.
