Larry Hunter

Larry Hunter joined the SIU Foundation as director of development WSIU Public Broadcasting in December 2019. His responsibilities include the organization of fundraising events, interacting with donors to encourage ongoing contributions, and seeking opportunities for financial support to the WSIU television and radio stations.

Larry is an alumnus of SIU Carbondale. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Radio and Television in 1983. He has been a loyal member of the Marching Salukis Alumni Band. His background includes several years of television and radio broadcast sales in southern Illinois and volunteering for various local charities, organizations, and events.

Larry is a native of Southern Illinois.

When not working, Larry enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his 2 golden retrievers. He is considered an expert at fixing things and enjoys working on projects. His passion includes travel with his wife, Pamm.
