A Republican Candidate for the 12th District U-S House seat is no longer on the ballot…

The Illinois State Board of Elections Thursday removed candidate Teri Newman of Belleville from the March primary ballot for not having enough valid signatures.

Newman ran unsuccessfully for the seat in 2010.

The action by the State Board of Elections reduces the number of Republican candidates in the 12th District primary race to three.    They are Jason Plumber, Theresa Kormos, and Rodger Cook.

Illinois' Primary election takes place on March 20th.
