In Jefferson County, a school consolidation referendum failed when voters in one of the three impacted communities said no.
The consolidation issue failed in the Opdyke-Belle Rive district. Voters in the Dodds and Ina districts said yes, but the measure needed all three districts to vote in favor for it move forward.
In the Mount Vernon city treasurer race, Mary Jo Pemberton defeated Doris Stover with a vote of 889 to 528.
In the city council race, Todd Piper and Dennis Mcenany won the two open seats defeating Donte Moore and David Morgan.
In the Woodlawn mayoral race, Brain Spangler defeated Charles McNealy 65 votes to 58 votes respectively.
For the two available Bonnie Village Trustee seats, Cory Breeze and LaKaela Johnson claimed victory defeating Raymond Sackman.
In Ina, Bob Sheridan, JoAnn Joy, and Michelle Sigwerth each won a spot as a Village Trustee, narrowly defeating Walter Grimes.
The three Dix Village Trustee spots were won by Sharon Bean, Larry Springer, and Charles Burge, defeating both Phil Pittman and Darrell Hungate.
