Republican Governor candidate Darren Bailey is on a state wide bus tour and made stops in the area Thursday.
Darren Bailey and his running mate Stephanie Trussell made a stop in Marion Thursday encouraging people to register and vote.
Bailey says the current administration has put to many financial burdens on the people of Illinois.
“Gas, groceries, heating our homes. It has become too much. It's too much. And it's unfortunate that the little things, the sweetest things in life. We're having to cut those out and it shouldn't be that way. We can fix that. We can fix that. And we will. And it will start on November nine, Friends.”
Bailey and Trussell also made a stop in Mt. Vernon, Anna, and Harrisburg. They were joined by Senator Terri Bryant and Representatives Paul Jacobs and Patrick Windhorst.
