Franklin County Treasurer Steve Vercellino has announced that he is running for the republican nomination for the 59th Senate Seat.
Vercellino has been a Franklin County committeeman since 2017 and won the Franklin County Treasurer seat in 2018. He points to working to with Republican and Democratic boards to improve Franklin County's finances. He says he will use his tenacity to inspire the next generation of leaders.
Senator Dave Fowler announced in July he would not seek re-election. Representative Paul Jacobs said last month he is seeking the Republican Nomination for Fowler's Seat.
