Kevin Ryan is a newcomer to Illinois politics, but after serving in the Marines, he wants to usher in a new era for the Democratic party starting here in Illinois.

Ryan is a candidate for Senator Dick Durbin's seat in the 2026 primaries. He traveled through Southern Illinois last week on a renovated school bus serving as his campaign tour bus. He stopped by the WSIU studio to talk about his campaign.
