One person was hurt in a fall Monday in the area of Little Grand Canyon.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department says Tempest Kipp-Evans had to be carried out using a stokes basket late Monday afternoon.
Deputies say once Kipp-Evans was carried out to the river, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources used a small boat to get her to a medical helicopter, which flew her to a St. Louis hospital for the treatment of her injuries.

The investigation continues. No foul play is suspected.
