Southern Illinois Congressman Mike Bost and his wife Tracy were among those on a chartered train that crashed into a garbage truck in West Virginia.
In a written statement, Bost said he and Tracy were not hurt on the train carrying Republican lawmakers to a retreat in West Virginia.
One of three crewmembers on the truck was killed and another suffered serious injuries.
The crash occurred Wednesday morning near Charlottesville, Virginia.
