One of the candidates who is on the General Election ballot in Illinois stopped by the Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus Thursday to highlight the ability for voters - especially students - to cast their ballots early.
Twelfth district congressman Bill Enyart says Illinois is trying to make it easy for people to decide who will be their elected leaders. Early voting in Illinois started Monday and will continue until November 2nd.
Jackson County Clerk Larry Reinhardt also visited the campus during Enyart's stop Thursday. He says with early voting, and grace period registration up to Election Day, there are really no excuses for not casting a ballot.
Illinois' general election is Tuesday, November 4th.
