All Franklin County schools are closed Tuesday because of a possible bomb threat.
In a written release, Franklin-Williamson Regional Superintendent Matt Donkin says the Franklin County Circuit Clerk's office received a letter late Monday that indicated a possible bomb threat at an unspecified Franklin County school on October 28th. Donkin says after meeting with law enforcement it was decided to cancel classes for Tuesday to allow police to investigate and take appropriate action. Donkin says classes will resume on Wednesday.
Donkin says a threat of this nature against any student or students is a felony offense under both state and federal law.
