Second Man Sentenced in 2014 Beating Death of Anna Man

A second man has been sentenced in the 2014 beating death of an Anna man.

The Union County State's Attorney's office says 26-year-old Travis Turner of Dongola pleaded guilty to Second Degree Murder in connection with the beating death of Jimmy Morrison in April of last year.
Turner was sentenced to 20 years in prison, the maximum sentence allowed under law for Second Degree Murder.

Several days ago, 35-year-old Jessie Bell of Anna also received 20 years in prison for Second Degree Murder.
