The SIU Physics and Applied Physics Department is hosting a monthly series of free public astronomy observation events during the fall semester. Coming up this weekend is their next event, their annual star party.
The star party is a large event held at the SIU farms observation areas from 5-11 on September 27th. Bob Baer is an Associate Scientist in the SIU Physics department and heads up the observation events.
WSIU talked with Baer about what people will be able to learn, see, and experience during the star party and the other astronomy observation events on October 4th and November 16th.
