In Carbondale, The Friends of Morris Library and WSIU Book & Vinyl Sale is coming up later this month. Find Hardback and Paperback books as well as Vinyl records and box sets. The 2-day event is March 24th from 4 to 8pm and March 25th from 10am to 3pm in the Basement of Morris Library.

In Goreville, Southern Seven Health Department will be hosting a “Strollin' Through the Colon” event this weekend for colon cancer awareness month. People will get to tour a giant inflatable colon, get a free at home colon cancer screening kit, and get to talk to healthcare professionals about colon cancer prevention, testing, and treatment. The family friendly event will be held on Saturday from 9am to 12pm at the Hill Side Shelter at Ferne Clyffe State Park. For more information go to www.southern7.org

In Carbondale, Registration Open for Beautiful Southern Ride
Bicycle riders can sign up for the Beautiful Southern Ride, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carbondale Breakfast. The ride will be held on Saturday, April 1, starting and ending at Carbondale Middle School. There are 3 routes to choose from, each marked and with rest stops.
