Local AAUW chapter will get SIU Campus Climate Survey data

A presentation November 8 will include time for questions

Carbondale's chapter of the American Association of University Women will get a peek at SIU's recent campus climate survey results Tuesday.

SIU System Diversity Officer Sheila Caldwell and SIU Carbondale Vice Chancellor for Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion Paul Frazier are scheduled to present findings at the virtual meeting.

Elaine Jurkowski with the Carbondale chapter says the survey results should provide some very important information, not just for the university, but for organizations like AAUW that advocate for gender equity and other issues.

"As a community partner, it becomes just so important to have AAUW at the forefront to advocate in a way that maybe people on campus might not be able to."

The meeting - over Zoom - starts at 7:00pm. You can find more information, and register, at the Carbondale Public Library's website.
