Eight Art Student Finalists Compete for SIU's 2025 Rickert-Ziebold Award

The Rickert-Ziebold Trust Award competition's finalists from last year. Artwork from various media will be on display between April 28 and May 3.

Eight graduating seniors in SIU Carbondale's School of Art and Design will compete for the final round of the Rickert-Ziebold Trust award.

Eight graduating seniors in SIU Carbondale's School of Art and Design will compete for the final round of the Rickert-Ziebold Trust award.

Fourth-year students apply annually to the competition to display the knowledge gained throughout the program in hopes of receiving a substantial scholarship.

The finalists are from various majors, including art education, blacksmithing, communication design, general studio, glass and metalworking, and photography.

The finalists are:

- Paul Buckett, art education, from White House, Tennessee
- Isabella Burkhardt, art education, from Gardner, Illinois
- Enan Chediak, photography, from Herrin, Illinois
- Leo Edwardson, communication design, from Mount Prospect, Illinois
- Erin Kelley, general studio, from South Bend, Indiana
- Lukas Kohler, blacksmithing, from Reading, Pennsylvania
- Olivia Posey, glass and metalworking, from Mountain Home, Arkansas
- Josephine Williams, blacksmithing and metalworking, from Lima, Ohio

The winners will be announced on April 28. The exhibition takes place between then and May 3 in the SIU Surplus Gallery, located in the Studio Arts building or former Glove Factory.
