The Southern Illinois University Carbondale Starbucks, located in the Student Center, will reopen on Monday, Aug. 25, after a summerlong closure for complete renovation and enhancements, and customers will notice a variety of benefits and improvements.
In addition, everyone is welcome to attend the grand reopening and ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Sept. 3. Following the ribbon-cutting, customers who buy a Starbucks drink will receive a complimentary reusable Starbucks cup or tumbler, while supplies last.
The restaurant features a fresh new look and a variety of additional benefits and options, including:
- New beverages, including nitro cold brew drinks.
- Mobile ordering.
- The opportunity to earn and redeem Starbucks rewards points.
- The option within the mobile app for students and employees to select and use Debit Dawg as a payment method.
The hours for the popular eatery are 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday. SIU’s Starbucks is closed Sunday.
