Imagine finding just the perfect gifts for family, friends and yourself this holiday season. You need look no further than Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Holiday Craft Sale Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 4-6.
The 47th annual event is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in the Student Center’s first floor Art Gallery and Renaissance Lounge.
All are welcome to attend, and there is no cost.
Myriad diverse vendors will participate
More than 75 artisans and craftspeople will display their handiworks, providing visitors a unique opportunity to shop for arts, crafts and other items created or made locally. There will be an eclectic array of handmade items including paintings, woodworking, jewelry, candles, fibers, glassware, drawings, holiday décor, soaps, essential oils and other body care, and so much more.
Various SIU registered student organizations and other student groups are planning to participate as well, including SIU Ceramics, Southern Illinois Metalsmiths Society (SIMS) and SIU Horticulture Club.
