Premier math event

This renowned math conference for Illinois’ southern section was established four decades ago by the late Jerry Becker, an acclaimed SIU math professor, as a way for anyone involved with math education in the region to share innovative teaching ideas and effective practices, along with materials for enhancing math education. The statewide Illinois Conference on Teaching Mathematics, established in 1949 to enhance interest in mathematics teaching at all grade levels, is the leading math educators organization in Illinois and offers a variety of resources to the general public as well as to members.
