Rent One Park has announced the five finalists for the new name of the Prospect League baseball team that will call the stadium in Marion home next year.

The top five finalists for the new team name are as follows: Angry Beavers–Fungi–Monkey Rats-Swamp Foxes and Thrillbillies

Fans can vote for their favorite team name online at http://www.nameournewteam.com

Everyone who votes will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of season tickets.

The deadline to vote is December 31.

The 18-team Prospect League features teams in Cape Girardeau and O'Fallon, Missouri; Alton and Springfield, Illinois and Terre Haute, Indiana.

Rent One Park is the former home of the Frontier League Southern Illinois Miners. The team dissolved at the end of the 2021 baseball season after 15 seasons when the owners Jayne and John Simmons retired.
