An event covering a wide range of community topics is coming up soon at John A. Logan College.
Logan and the Carbondale Branch of the NAACP are collaborating on the Thriving Together Conference to bring together community members, leaders, and experts for discussions on issues such as racial justice, political advocacy, immigration, the Israeli/Palestinian divide and mental health.
The program on May 3 begins with breakfast and registration at 7:45 am, with a welcome address to follow. The program concludes with lunch and a closing session where attendees can talk with each other about their commitment to social justice and community improvement.
Everyone is invited. Registration and event details can be found on the Carbondale Illinois NAACP Facebook page.
